City Updates

Louisville Board of Alderman met Tuesday, July 30 and approved the nominations of Joy Prisock and Jimmy Sharp to the Historic Preservation Board.

The Louisville Tourism Board recently held their first meeting. Member include the Mayor of Louisville, Winston County Economic Development Director and a representative Hotel owner. The Board has decided to meet regularly on the last Monday of each month at 2:00 p.m. at City Hall. They invite all hotel owners to attend as well as the public.

Louisville Leaders Attend League Conference

Elected officials of Louisville recently attended three days of training and leadership development presented at the Mississippi Municipal League’s 82nd Annual Conference at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum & Convention Center.

Two New Officers Join LPD

Mayor Will Hill swears in two new Louisville Police Department Officers on July 23, 2013. The new officers were hired to fill current vacancies within the force.New hires are Constance Crosby and Joseph Chad Williams.

EPA SUPERFUND REPRESENTATIVES OR CONTRACTORS, WHO ARE DIRECTING CLEANUP ACTIVITIES AT THE AMERICAN CREOSOTE SITE IN LOUISVILLE, WILL BE AVAILABLE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS.

A regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Louisville was held at five-thirty o’clock p.m. on the 18th day of June 2013, at the City Hall, the aforesaid being the time and place for the meeting with the following officers present:  William A. “Will” Hill, Mayor; Eugene Crosby, Mayor Pro Tem; Frances S. Red/White/Blue and Fireworks - July 2

The City of Louisville would like to remind the public of the Red/White/Blue Parade scheduled for July 2 at 6:00 pm on Main Street in Louisville and also the Fireworks Display at Lake Tiak O'Khata scheduled for 9:00 pm as well. For more details - click here
