    4. Accept recommendation of rating committee to accept proposal from Broaddus & Associates for Project Manager on the HMGP Safe Room
    5. Authorize payment to First Security Bank for $21,995.00 for interest on General Obligation Bonds, Series 2012,  pay from GO Bond Fund 250-600-685
    6. Authorize Mayor to sign Consent Agreement with Winston Plywood & Veneer
    7. Declare as Surplus Property, two tracts of land owned by city, and give notice of sale:
Located at corner of Metts and Thompson and
    1. Redeem property taxes on certain property which has matured to the city: 80-141220302 0103000 at 140 Eiland Avenue, 80-141220302 0103901 on 114 Eiland Avenue, and  80-151283301 0802200 on 520 North Street
    2. Hire E911 dispatcher @$10.00  effective November 9
    3. Authorize travel for Robert Eaves to the MDEQ Landfill Operator Certification Class on Dec 2-3 in Jackson

Winston Plywood Weekly Update-10-23-15



Foundations:
·         Placed and finished sander foundations
·         Installed new foundation for Dryer No. 3 drive take-up assembly
·         Placed roof on southeast electrical room

Building:
·         Placed concrete around interior building columns
·         Completed trim-out and bracing on Building 1
·         Continued installing standing seam roofing on Building 2 & 3, and started installing on Building 4
·         Completed trim-out and bracing on Buildings 2 &  4
·         Completed installing louvers on west wall of Building 2 and started installing on Building 4
·         Continued trim-out and bracing on Buildings 6, 6A, 7, 8, and 11
·         Installed framed opening for 16’ door on Building 11
·         Started installing edge angles for decking on Building 8
·         Started installing wall sheets on Building 5
·         Installed wall sheets on west side of Building 1
·         Started installing wall sheets on west side of Building 2

Fire Protection:
·         Completed installing foundations for fire water tank, including installing and compacting fill material in center of foundation
·         Continued installing pipe bracings and supports throughout buildings
·         Installed underground fire main across drainage ditch (from main parking lot to over-flow parking)
·         Continued installation of trim-out and detailing on systems (drip-drains, riser trim, etc)
·         Changed out incorrect temperature heads to higher temp heads
·         Fire water storage tank delivered to site

Hog Room, Glue Room, and Lathe & Chipper Deck:
·         Received one load of structural support steel for glue room
·         Temporary handrails completed around lathe and chipper deck

Electrical:
·         Continued electrical rough-in for lighting in Buildings 1, 2, 3, & 5, and continued rough-in for lighting in building 4 (Conduit and junction boxes)
·         Located MCC units on floor throughout the plant
·         Continued running conduit for process equipment at Dryers 1 & 2
·         Began installing primary underground service to transformers (grounding only) on transformers 5-13
·         Openings were cored on both north electrical room concrete roofs and performed layout on south electrical room roof

Site Utilities:
·         Contractor began testing of underground fire protection lines
·         Sawcut paving in parking lot and installed city water approximately 75% of way across lot
·         Installed concrete thrust blocks on elbows for underground water main
·         Installed trench drain at northwest entrance to plant site (behind guard house)

Racetrack Piping:
·         Received and installed six sections of racetrack trusses and piping (south three sections on east and west column rows for Building 1)

Log Conditioning Vaults
·         Continued excavation for 16’ deep concrete holding tank for vault water
·         Removed old foundations from previous retaining wall

Site Paving
·         Installed fill material and stone from southwest corner of plywood building, around south end of Building 4 and northward to Building 11

Winston Plywood:
·         Continued refurbishing and installing green-end equipment for both east and west lathe lines
·         Continued to receive used process equipment
·         Continued construction of No. 3 Veneer Dryer (Dryer main framework)
·         Completed press pit foundation modifications on Presses No. 1 and 3
·         Continued press pit foundation modifications on Press No. 2
·         Installed press columns and base & top frames;  began placing press plates
·         Continued modifications to veneer lathes

Miscellaneous:
·         MDR Electrical erected power poles for primary power service to plant site
·         Construction ongoing for primary power line to WP&V site

Winston Plywood Weekly Update-10-09-2015



Foundations:
·         Placed roofs on both electrical rooms at north end of building
·         Continued forming on finishing equipment and lathe charger pedestals
·         Completed boiler foundations

Building:
·         Installed decking on Building 4
·         Continued trim-out and detailing on Building 2
·         Continued installing standing seam roofing on Building 2
·         Continued installing wall girts on Buildings 2 and 4
·         Continued bracing and trim-out on Building 4 roof
·         Installed insulation on Building 4 roof
·         Installed ridge cap on Building 1

Fire Protection:
·         Continued installing sprinkler systems in Building 2 roof
·         Started and completed sprinkler piping for Building 4 roof
·         Began installing foundations for fire water tank

Hog Room, Glue Room, and Lathe & Chipper Deck:
·         Continued installing chipper deck support steel and installed 60-70% of decking

Electrical:
·         Completed block work on two north control rooms
·         Continued electrical rough-in for lighting in Buildings 1, 2, 3,  and 5 (Conduit and junction boxes)
·         Began running conduit for process equipment at Dryers 1 & 2
·         Completed underground primary duct bank to power pole east of plant

Site Utilities:
·         Completed main underground storm drain piping east of plant site
·         Set two inlet boxes on storm drains east of plant
·         Began installing trunk line and inlets for storm drain from building downspouts
·         Contractor completed installation of 12” fire-loop at south end of plywood building
·         Contractor sawcut paving in existing parking lot to complete 12” fire loop around plant site

Log Conditioning Vaults
·         Did grading and began excavation for tank at log conditioning vaults

Site Paving
·         Continued fine grading for paving in area east of Building 10 and north transformer bank

Winston Plywood:
·         Continued refurbishing and installing green-end equipment for both east and west lathe lines
·         Received and off-loaded additional Log-Pro equipment for log processor
·         Received additional six loads of No. 3 Dryer components
·         Received and set No. 3 Boiler and Economizers
·         Continued press pit modifications

Winston Plywood Weekly Update-9-29-15

Masonry work at Electrical Room

Foundations:

· Continued work on Green-end Electrical Room

· Completed 24” slab at Glue Room

Building:

· Continued installing standing-seam roof on Buildings 3

· Continued trim-out and structural detailing on structural steel framing on Building 2

· Installed insulation and water-shield on Building 2 from Columns 3-27

· Completed structural framing for Lathe Deck, placed and finished Lathe Deck concrete

· Continued installing wall girts on Building 3

· Continued bracing and trim-out on Building 4

· Erected structural steel framing for Building 11

Fire Protection:

· Continued installing sprinkler systems in Building 2

Electrical:

· Continued block work on green-end electrical rooms

· Continued underground primary power supply duct banks – installed ducts across south end of plywood building and underneath rail spurs at southwest corner of building

· Began installing boxes in ceiling of Buildings 1, 3, and 5 for lighting grid

Sitework and Paving:

· Placed concrete paving between Buildings 8 & 10 (around transformers 5-13 and primary switches)

Winston Plywood:

· Continued refurbishing existing veneer dryers

· Continued refurbishing and installing green-end equipment for west lathe line

· Received and off-loaded additional Log-Pro equipment for log processor

· Received first two loads of No. 3 Dryer components

· Set base plates for steam boilers (not grouted)

· Continued press pit modifications
