Holiday Changes to Solid Waste Pickup Schedule

The City of Louisville will have changes in solid waste pickup for Christmas Day and New Year's Day (both on Tuesday). Those residents that normally have Tuesday pickup can expect service on the following day (Wednesday). These are the only changes to solid waste pickup. This is City of Louisville only.

MSOPE to Again Offer Etiquette Classes in Support of Mayor's Youth Council

The Mississippi School of Protocol and Etiquette (MSOPE)
will again offer classes for Winston County Youth in Louisville, Mississippi, at Louisville City Hall.

Registration will be August 20, 2012, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. First class is scheduled to begin on August 27, 2012, and are as follows:
(Ages 7-12 4:00 - 5:30)
(Teens 13-18 6:00 - 8:00)
The class will be 5 to 6 weeks on Monday evenings

Parent and teacher reinforcement class will be September 8, 2012, at 8:30 a.m.

The Winston/Louisville Mayor’s Youth Council (MYC) was established in the Spring of 2012, and the inaugural council was established from youth (grades 9-12) who completed the class offered by the Mississippi School of Protocol & Etiquette (MSOPE).

The program offered by MSOPE is a “pre-requisite” for any youth who may be interested in being a part of the Winston/Louisville Mayor’s Youth Council

The participating merchants will be open until 7:19 pm and offering

Red - White - Blue Parade


Our Red - White - Blue Parade on July 3rd was a big hit with the kids, parents and grandparents, This annual event shows our community's patriotism and love of country.
