WELCOME DARE OFFICERS TRAINING

The City  of Louisville would like to welcome DARE Officers around the state to Louisville as they conduct Basic DARE Officer training at Lake Tiak O'Khata over the next two weeks. The DARE program has been beneficial to our community and we would like to again recognize our own DARE Officer Tonya McWhirter - The 2016 DARE Officer of the Year in Mississippi!!

    2. Authorize annual payment to GO Bond Fund of $179,364.38 by transferring money from General Fund to GO Bond Fund (this is a 2 million debt started 6/1/13 for street repairs, this is payment #9 of 24)
    3. Authorize payment of $4,203.00 to MS Municipal Workers Comp for the audited premium
    4. Disposition of fixed assets Recreation lawn mowers which were turned in from lease-enclosed
    5. Declare as surplus and give notice of sale of Police communication equipment -enclosed
    6. Transfer backhoe from Street Department to Recreation Department fixed assets-enclosed
    7. Hire part time employee for Parks & Recreation Department at $10.00 /hour effective April 20- enclosed
    8. 2017 Basic DARE Officer Training is being held in Louisville on April 24-May 4 at Lake Tiak O’Khata, Tonya McWhirter to attend at no cost to the city
    9. Request for Tonya McWhirter to attend the 2017 Children’s Mental Health Summit on May 12, in Jackson, $75.00 registration
    10. Request for E911 training for Vera McCarty and Felisha Mays to attend the AT &T West Safety NG 911 Technology Seminar at Hinds County EOC in Jackson on April 26
    11. Request for Jody Fulton to attend the MS Home Corp Blight Elimination seminar in Tupelo on April 20
    12. Request for Chris Young to attend Building Officials of MS 2017 Summer Conference, June 12-16 in Bay St. Louis, $125 registration, plus meals, mileage & lodging
    13. Building Department budget request enclosed
    14. Discussion with EPA Representative Ron Tollivar
