City Adopts New Cemetery Ordinance
In the December 3, 2013 meeting of the Louisville Municipal Board , a new ordinance for cemeteries owned by the City was adopted. This ordinance changed the fee structure predominantly due to Open/Close Grave costs. Effective after January 1, 2013, the City will also no longer sell markers. A regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Louisville was held at five-thirty o’clock p.m. on the 19th day of November 2013, at the City Hall, the aforesaid being the time and place for the meeting with the following officers present: William A. “Will” Hill, Mayor; Eugene Crosby, Mayor Pro Tem; Frances S. Ball, Richard R. (Dickie) Caperton, Judy H. McLeod, and Gwenita Mays, Aldermen; Babs W. Fulton, City Clerk; and C. Taylor Tucker, City Attorney.
