City Issues Proclamation Recognizing Tommy Jenkins Upon His Retirement

RESOLUTION
RECOGNIZING AND HONORING
TOMMY A. JENKINS

WHEREAS, Tommy Jenkins began his career with the City of Louisville on
 January 16, 1990, and

WHEREAS, Tommy Jenkins has served the City of Louisville in a professional and dedicated manner throughout the years, and


WHEREAS, having served as a firefighter for twenty five years, Firefighter Jenkins
achieved rank of Engineer while completing course work to include
NFPA 1001 Firefighter I & II, & NFPA 1002 Driver Operator, and

WHEREAS, Engineer Jenkins retired on January 16, 2014, from
the City of Louisville Fire Department,  and

WHEREAS, Tommy Jenkins has served the profession of firefighting while prioritizing personal safety, saving victims' lives, saving property, and protecting the environment hence Louisville is a better place because of his service.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen of the City of Louisville, that Tommy Jenkins be recognized and honored for his service as Firefighter.
