MINUTES OF A RECESSED MEETING
OF THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE
HELD ON THE 25TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 2014
A recessed
meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Louisville was held
at five-thirty o’clock p.m. on the 25th day of September 2014, at the City
Hall. The following officers were present: Honorable Will Hill, Mayor; Frances
S. Ball, Richard R. Caperton, Judy H. McLeod, Gwenita Mays, Eugene Crosby, Aldermen;
Babs W. Fulton, City Clerk and C. Taylor Tucker, City Attorney.
The meeting was duly opened and called to
order by the Mayor. Rev. Willie Matthews
opened with prayer and Mayor Will Hill led in the Pledge of Allegiance and presided
over the meeting.
ORDER –
DEVELOPMENT OF ACADEMY PARK
There came on for consideration the matter of
a plan for a housing development at Academy Park, which is land owned by the
city, and whereas notice was given for a public hearing on September 23, 2014, at
which residents of the community were allowed to give their opinion of the
development, then upon motion by Gwenita Mays duly seconded by Eugene Crosby
and unanimously approved by the Board, the development plan will not be
executed and Academy Park will remain as is.
ORDER- ADJOURN
Upon motion made by Frances S. Ball
duly seconded by Gwenita Mays, and unanimously carried, the Board meeting was
adjourned with no further business.
