NEW BUSINESS

    1. Nfusion Community Conversation-enclosed
    2. Justin McDonald:  Winston Plywood and Veneer recommendations
    3. Per Woody Sample: authorize payment of electrical invoices to Gresco Supply Inc. for $90,894.00 for Winston Plywood & Veneer project and authorize the Mayor to sign the request for cash from MDA
    4. Accept recommendation of selection committee to choose Sample, Hicks & Associates as the  Administrator for ARC Louisville Water Tank project.  No other proposals received
    5. Accept recommendation to choose Calvert-Spradling Engineers for ARC Louisville Water Tank project.  Other proposal received from Neel-Schaffer Engineers
    6. Appoint committee to rate Architects and Engineering proposals for HMGP Community Safe Room project and authorize the Mayor to award project upon the recommendation of the committee.  We have received three proposals.
    7. Unclean property: set hearing for October 6 for three properties

      3. Paula Mass, at 201 West Poplar Drive, parcel 80-151242001 0600500
    8. Authorize three installment payments of $25,154.00 for the MS Municipal Service Workers Compensation total billed premium of $73,981.00
    9. Approve hiring part time firefighter effective immediately-enclosed
    10. Appoint Robert Eaves as the MDOT Title VI Coordinator
    11. Authorize cell phone additions as budgeted- handout will be given on Tuesday
    12. Acknowledge training requests:
      1. DARE training- authorize Tonya McWhirter, Ty Hardin, and Derrick Ball to attend DARE conference at RCTA in Meridian on October 5-15.  Both new officers’ registration total is $899 which covers all expenses, Tonya’s registration waived.
      2. Authorize Tonya McWhirter to attend the Care Lodge Domestic Violence Seminar on October 20 in Meridian, $15.00 registration only.
      3. Fire training- authorize Chester Darnell Dawkins to attend Fire Academy on September 19-21, no charges
    13. Announce flu shot to be given on September 29 at 8:30
    14. Announce: Fire Prevention Week is October 4-10
