MINUTES OF A RECESSED MEETING OF THE MAYOR
AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE
HELD ON THE 13TH DAY OF MAY 2014
A recessed meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Louisville was held at five-thirty o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 13th day of May 2014, at the City Hall, the aforesaid being the time and place for the meeting with the following officers present: William A. “Will” Hill, Mayor; Eugene Crosby, Mayor Pro tem; Frances S. Ball, Richard R. “Dickie” Caperton, Judy H. McLeod, and Gwenita Mays, Aldermen; Babs W. Fulton, City Clerk; and C. Taylor Tucker, City Attorney.
The meeting was duly opened and called to order by Mayor Hill, Richard R. Caperton gave the opening prayer, and the Mayor led in the Pledge of Allegiance. The purpose of the meeting is to handle any emergency matters and the following business was transacted.
ORDER- ADOPT E911 AGREEMENT WITH WINSTON COUNTY
Upon motion made by Frances S. Ball duly seconded by Richard R. Caperton and unanimously approved, the Board adopted the “Interlocal Cooperation Agreement Between the City of Louisville and Winston County for the Operation of an Emergency Communications District.” Copy of said agreement is made Exhibit "A" to these minutes the same as if recopied herein in full in words and figures.
ORDER- HIRE TEMPORARY CEMETERY EMPLOYEE
Upon motion made by Frances S. Ball duly seconded by Gwenita Mays and unanimously approved, the Board authorized hiring Tony Harris as a temporary employee in the Cemetery Department at $8.00 per hour to assist in the repair and placement of cemetery markers in Memorial Gardens due to the tornado damage.
ORDER – RECESS MEETING
Upon motion made by Frances S. Ball duly seconded by Gwenita Mays and unanimously carried, the Board meeting was recessed until Friday, May 16, 2014 at 4:30 p.m..
